FALL: Italian II(B) (TESTING)
Monday & Wednesday | 6:15pm – 7:30pm | Sept. 9th – Nov. 25th
*Includes Saturday Cafes*
For those who have had roughly ~3 semesters of class experience! This course begins with a review of the main grammar points covered in the previous course. Students of Italian II (B) will learn the imperfect tense (l’imperfetto) and how to tell a story using l’imperfetto and il passato prossimo. They will learn how to implement direct and indirect object pronouns in conversation, how to give simple commands, and how to use the past progressive verb tense. They will supplement their grammatical structures with vocabulary modules such as “hobbies, pastimes, and youth”, “furniture and house hunting”, as well as “health and sickness.” Throughout the course, students will gain ample communicative practice through various exercises centered upon the trailer for the film Magnifica presenza (Ferzan Ozpetek, 2012).
