SPRING: Italian I(A)

This introductory course follows a standard curriculum for the complete beginner. Students will learn about greetings and introductions, pluralizing, subject pronouns, the informal and formal registers (tu/Leidistinction), numbers, etc., while covering basic present tense verb families. Using structures such adjectives, regular and irregular verbs such as essere,avere, and esserci, students will gain skills in describing people and objects in the surrounding world. Students will practice these vocabulary and grammar topics through exercises paired with the trailer for the film La grande bellezza(Paolo Sorrentino, 2013).
